Mercury Marine "Whats Before You" Commerical
Art direction, script writing, and video editing for a commercial that was produced to support Mercury Marine's "Mercury behind you, the world before you" campaign. This is the first modern-era television commercial produced in-house at Mercury Marine.
This commercial was produced to support Mercury Marine's "Mercury behind you, the world before you" campaign. The audience of this commercial wasn't necessarily boaters so the story needed to be all-inclusive and inviting. Visually, the intent was for the commercial to be a celebration of the diversity of on-water activities and the people behind them. Asking the question "what's before you" draws the viewer in and encourages them to reflect on their own on-water memories. If the viewer isn't a boater, they'll be invited to "join us" out here and create their own adventure. Video used in the piece is a collection of footage that has been gathered by Mercury Marine over the last few years from on-water shoots, boat builder partners, and customer contests.
